At The Man's Office

Guess where I am?

At the Man's office. Yes, the Man, my dear husband who has one double lid eye.

The Man's unit shares the floor with another unit whom I think is doing nothing for the company. *Jahatkan aku ni*

Anyway, they are having a buka puasa do and I embraced myself to come (after the Man is invited and he invited me). Just an opportunity for me to get to know the people and what are they doing, actually , for the Company and the betterment of the people's lives in Malaysia.

I haven't figured out much yet.

But the head of the unit, eh tak de le head, the GM, is actually amazing. He is a Toastmaster (Bila la me and the Man nak start our Toastmaster). He acknowledged my Man's presence. Agaknya memang bagus lah this Toastmaster thing. Me and the Man ops sorry The Man and I have been trying to enrol for one and trying we have been for the past 8 years. Hehe.. trying and never really made a move.

Well, another good friend of us, Zul is also in that unit (which I still think does nothing for the company). Zul is apparently the most popular guy in our nets group (the group where we were first recruited by the company). He is doing good, and I am happy. Apparently he was chosen by the management to go for this GLC cross transfer program that will enable him to move to peroton and get new experience there, dengan gaji masih dibayar oleh companyku ini.

I wish to think positively that this cross transfer thing will benefit us.

So, I am out of the Man's nice room (with orange chairs and black leather couch, shit, better than mine) and to mingle around some more.

Oh yes.. tadi masa buka puasa, aku sorang je perempuan duduk di antara lelaki lelaki. Ini yang repeatedly I told people (esp those in melakofberehad) that I am SOOO reluctant to attend this department/ company buka puasa sebab nanti pompuan kena duduk ngan pompuan, laki kena duduk ngan laki. Abih tu, aku ni nak borak ngan sape? PA PA boss korang? Aghh!! And talk about what? Kalau the girls from Planning tu tak pe jugak, lots of things to bitch about.

Adakah aku yang antisocial?

It apparently was in last month, and I am totally loving it!

Choc Ganache Topping

I did what I didn’t like most

1. papercup size 8 instead of solo cups who can stand by themselves and easier to ice
2. choc ganache topping instead of buttercream. susah siot nak ratakan.
3. self made fondant butterflies and daisies instead of buttercream sweet swirling rosettes.

thanks nonche for the last minute royal icing recipie. kalau tak , tak tahu ape nak jadi to my cuppies.

the cuppies made their way safely to the Hari Kejiranan Section 9 Bangi. In less than 20 minutes, all the three boxes gone!

I took the whole thursday off last week to attend this class at sugarflours Bangi Section 9. First part of the class was on buttercream deco and second part of the class was Fondant. I am yet to attend their Day 2 class which is tak tahu bila..

Half of the class, I was cursing my legs for being so tired. Lenguh!
Another half was spent cursing myself for signing up!

We had fun. Anyways.

But don't think big cakes are for me.

The Purple

Decided that this will be the permanent feature of my blogspot.


This is complimentary set for Puan Syidah, Shah Alam. I used Nozzle No. 13 for the rosettes. Rosettes were supposed to be a mix of dark maroon and white but they turned out this way. Base is a bit untidy, with the girl tugging on my pants. The Man was so adamant of not posting this up the net but I figured, if my blog is supposed to be 'educating', then I shall be highlighting my flaws as well. Enjoy kutuking because it'll get better babeh!


The rosettes are a bit dissapointing, I'd say. Wonder how cakeworm as teacher would feel haha..

Maroon Themed Chocolate Chip Butter Cup Cake

Maroooooon !!! I used a mixture of Chrismas Red, lots of Burgundy and a hint of Red (no taste). All are Wilton's. Nonche was talking about American Chef or Chef Color or something, that doesn't require a tooth pick to dig from the bottle, but mana la nak cari sekarang ni...





The base was supopsed to be white and dark pink. I was running out of creamwell the night before where I decided to stop at 12:00 and went to bed with three cups undecorated. Kak Yuni spinned the creamwell in the morning and voila!! i got a lot more base than I thought. Hmmm .. thought of splurging on the complimentary set for Puan Syidah.


My bouquets were disspointing. I used Nozzle No. 13 for the small rosettes and Nozzle No. 16 for the big ones. Leper semacam je bouquet bouquet Mommy ni... Hmm..

Anyway, thanks Puan Syidah, Shah Alam for the order. The cuppies made their way back to Bangi for the acara meminang on the day after. I know I could wait them by the roadside and pass them the cuppies, but what's the joy of menjadi rombongan meminang if you cannot drool over the hantaran the night before? So I dragged the sick Man and the grumpy Kiddo all the way to Shah Alam (using Mommy's brilliant GPS) before Harry Potter to send.

the cameraphone is only around 300kb per picture, the NikonCoolpix is around 1MB per picture.

Pink Set and Choc Spread on White Roses

Eh Mommy wanna brag lah! I think this is the best cup cake set ever created by me!! Especially this Nazrul. Kemas, kan? *masuk bakul angkat sendiri* c.a.k.e.w.o.r.m. shal be very proud of me.
Using Nozzle No: 2, which i think is the best nozzle for writing.

RM55, chocolate moist cupcakes with buttercream.
The set is an alternate pink, green and white. I had a blast using very very less color, then I could concentrate more on the design instead of mixing the color! I used Wilton's Moss Green (ke apa ntah, nanti balik i check) and Burgundy to create pink. Big rosettes were created using no. 35. (but I think I overdid the polka dot thing)

Btw this is taken using Coolpix Nikon 7.1 Megapixels.

Thanks Belinda for the order. Her Colin specifically mentioned soldiers on the sand. It is always exciting to try out new theme. Rang up, however, diena cupcakes for advise and that is how the sugary sand evolved.

Paper Cup vs Solo Cup

Yesterday was my first experiment of using Paper Cup Size 8. Cup ni comel gila, tepi dia gerigi gerigi. Go visit my teacher http://adorablecupcakes.blogspot.com for testimony.

So my verdict, Paper Cups are much easier (eventhough i am having trouble smoothen the base out). You use lesser icing and cake mix. Icing is very much quicker and it looks so much prettier.

But they require embedded baking tray, unlike Solo Cups who can stand on their own. Diena bought me three trays from Bake With Yen , one tray can accomodate 16 pieces. The trick is when the cake is done, do not take the cups out from the embedded slots.

I am loving them. Can't wait to try more!
